The thing I hate the most about new computers is the amount of crapware that they have installed on them. Generally demo (or cutdown / timebombed) versions of various applications that you’ll never use. Now, I understand the business case from the manufacturers point of view for preinstalling these (essentially, they subsidise the cost of the machine), but that doesn’t mean I like them there..!

Alot of my clients have recently been implementing an application called WebMarshal, which is essentially a HTTP proxy that monitors staff Internet usage, and can permit / block access based on content.
