One of the things I always took for granted with Exchange was Exmerge - a nice, simple way of importing email from PST’s into the message store. Exmerge has been around since waaay back in the Exchange 5.5 days, and worked a treat. Unfortunately, Exmerge is no longer supported in Exchange 2007 - for the simple reason that MAPI is no longer installed on the Exchange server along with Exchange 2007.

Microsoft slightly re-jigged the way the O2k3 Sp3 handles file formats to make things more “secure”. They also (by default) blocked you from opening older files, or saving existing files in the old formats.
